Q: Is chiropractic care safe? Will it hurt?

A: Chiropractic adjustments are completely safe. It’s estimated that chiropractic adjustments occur nearly one million times every day in the United States. Most patients report feeling relaxed and rejuvenated after a chiropractic treatment.

Q: Do I have to see my medical doctor before I get chiropractic treatment?

A: No. Doctors of Chiropractic are primary health care providers. Many primary care providers will refer their patients to doctors of chiropractic, but you can refer yourself.

Q: Can a person who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

A: Yes. Chiropractic care may help prevent subsequent surgeries and if treatment is received before surgery it may help a patient avoid going under the knife.

Q: Can a pregnant woman get chiropractic care?

A: There’s no better time in a woman’s life to have a adjusted spine and well functioning body. All adjustment methods and postures are adapted to the patient’s size, weight, age and condition.

Acupuncture-

Q: What can an acupuncturist do?

A: An acupuncturist can perform a variety of services including acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion using herbs with needles), nutritional counseling and herbal recommendations.

Q: Does acupuncture hurt?

A: Acupuncture needles are very small and cause no bleeding when they are inserted or removed. Most patients report that they feel little or no pain. You may have some slight bruising after your treatment, but it will depend on your condition.

Q: Do acupuncturists use disposable needles?

A: Yes. They are required to by California Code of Regulations, Title 16, Section 1399.454.

Q: Do I have to be referred from a medical doctor to get acupuncture treatment?

A: No. An acupuncturist is considered to be a primary care provider. In some cases, your acupuncturist may refer you to a medical doctor or lab to do some diagnostic testing or get further medical support.

Q: Will acupuncture interfere with my medication?

A: No, however, you may be able to lower your dosages over time. Acupuncture can remove blockages and balance your energetic pathways, which makes medicine more effective. Work with your primary care doctor to monitor your dosage.

Not so FAQ, but very important:

Q: You can treat kids and babies too?!?

A: Yes, we can and do.  Our own children began chiropractic care within a few hours of birth.

If you don't treat your children when they first have a problem, they will continue to progress until they become like you when you hurt...  Please don't make them suffer.  If you notice their little attitudes have changed, maybe they just aren't functioning as well as they could be.
